Jigra Fake Box Office Collection Controversy: Karan Johar got Angry at Divya Khosla, gave a Befitting Reply by Sharing a Cryptic Post

Alia Bhatt's film Jigra has been in the news since its release. Recently, Kangana Ranaut subtly targeted Alia Bhatt regarding the film's slow opening. Now, Divya Khossla has directly taken a jab at the actress through a post, also calling the collection of Jigra fake, to which Karan Johar has reacted.

Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra has hit the theaters. After Raazi, once again Alia Bhatt has shown an action avatar on the big screen. Vedang Raina plays the lead role alongside her in the film.

In addition to playing the lead role, Alia Bhatt has co-produced Jigra along with Karan Johar. The film had been generating buzz for a long time, and now that it has been released, a debate has started regarding its box office collection.

Divya Khossla’s jab at Alia
Well-known actress Divya Khossla went to watch Jigra on the day of Dussehra and, upon seeing the empty theater, mocked Alia Bhatt for showing fake collections. Sharing a photo from the theater, she captioned, “I went to the Jigra show at City Mall PV. The theater was completely empty.”

Divya further wrote, "Theaters everywhere are empty. Alia Bhatt really has a lot of guts. She bought the tickets herself and announced fake collections. I’m surprised why the paid media is silent." She also added the hashtag, “We shouldn’t fool the audience.

Karan Johar Reacts
Following Divya Khossla's post, Karan Johar reacted by sharing a cryptic post on his Instagram story, seemingly addressing the actress. The producer of Jigra wrote, “Silence is the best speech to give to a fool.”

Divya Khossla’s response to Karan’s post
Immediately after Karan Johar’s post, Divya Khossla also shared a cryptic post on her Instagram story. The actress wrote, “The truth always bothers fools.” This back-and-forth between Divya and Karan through hints has grabbed the attention of fans.

Is Jigra a copy of Savi?
Released in theaters on October 11, Jigra has been labeled by many netizens as a copy of Savi. In Savi, Divya Khossla's character struggles to free her husband from jail, while in Jigra, Alia Bhatt is shown trying to get her brother, played by Vedang Raina, out of jail. As a result, many users have called Jigra a copy of Savi.

Box office collection of Jigra
According to Sacnilk, Jigra earned approximately ₹4.55 crore on its first day at the domestic box office and around ₹6 crore on its second day. The total collection of the film is said to be ₹11 crore. However, we do not confirm this figure.
